The
Tooth Mobile
Mercer County Health Department Mobile Dental Clinic
The Toothmobile, affectionately named and decorated with graphic artwork
designs using ideas from school children, is a 36 foot-long Winnebago,
fully equipped with dental chairs, x-ray, and other equipment. Through
a partnership with area dentists, and Carl Sandburg College, Dental Hygiene
School, it provides preventative community based dental services to children
in Mercer County and surrounding areas as resources allow. The clinic
also refers to local dentists for more extensive dental work which can
not be done on the Tooth Mobile. Payment for services is accepted through
Kidcare, Medicaid, or private pay clients in need of a provider. Limited
grant funds are available for income eligible children.Mercer County Health
